Off into the unknown...

...sort of.

I have officially be accepted into the University of South Alabama's graduate program. I start working on my PhD in Marine Sciences this coming August.
Yikes.
So that means there's been a lot of planning and preparing in the DaCosta home.
We're packing up and heading out to Mobile. August 2nd is the date, and we are hoping to find a super cute apartment before then. And preferably one that doesn't cost too much of a small fortune. (Although it's looking like our luck on that front might be wearing thin...).
This is one of the biggest decisions we have made together in our marriage, so it has definitely been an adventure. Hauling across the country to a place I have only visited once and David has never been is certainly a bit scary, but I'm feeling all the excitement of change of place. As much as I love working retail (which may be a slight exaggeration)...I cannot wait to move on.

On a COMPLETELY different note, my amazing little sister is about to set of on her own adventure into the unknown.  Tomorrow night she will be in the Missionary Training Center, preparing to serve the good people of Tempe, Arizon on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. if you're interested in her updates, I am keeping up a blog for her: http://sisterbayleemelling.blogspot.com/

Best wishes
-K
